Thanks for your interest in participating in our Paper Football Tournament! Almost all of us have played this fun table-top game with family and friends, and we decided to make it a fun community event on Super Bowl weekend!

DETAILS: 

Anyone age 8 and up can play. We will have 2 divisions: 1) Age 8-14  2) Age 15 and older

Each participant will play 5 regular season games in their division. Every player will make it into the playoffs with the following playoff format: 

The top 8 with the best regular season records (top 8 seeds) will get a playoff bye. The bottom 8 players with the worst regular season records (bottom 8 seeds) play a wild card round, and the wild card winners join seeds 9, 10, 11, 12 in the first round of the playoffs against the top 8 seeds. 

The tournament is survive and advance from there. The two winners from each division with receive a trophy, then play each other for the overall championship. The overall champion will get a very special prize. (* This is based on 40 total participants – 20 in each division. We may need to adjust that plan depending on the response and how many people sign up to play.) 

Every player will receive a gift prize pack for participating in the tournament. Every player will play at least 6 games total. We have a special guest speaker who will be sharing a short football-related message between the regular season games and the playoffs. 

We will have snacks and drinks during the tournament. Please keep in mind this is our first time doing this tournament and we’re not sure how long it will take to play all the games. We are estimating 3 hours but it could go a little longer. If it goes well, we’d like to make this into an annual Super Bowl weekend event!
